Breaking: Litecoin's MWEB Software Update Is Out Now

The Litecoin Foundation just announced that the long awaited Litecoin Core 0.21.2 which includes Taproot and the massive upgrade called MWEB is now available for download.


Users can download the Litecoin Core software to their laptop or desktop computer. The software is easy to install, just make sure you have minimum 83 GB of space and have some capacity as the blockchain increases.


If you already have an older version of Litecoin Core running, please backup your wallet.dat file before upgrading.


Litecoin Core is the most popular software used to connect to the Litecoin network and run a node. Litecoin Core is open source software, meaning anyone can view, copy and propose upgrades.


This new version supports MWEB confidential addresses and the feature will go live on May 19th at block height 2,265,984.
