Litecoin adoption increasing faster than Bitcoin since 2017


Litecoin network usage has increased at a faster pace than Bitcoin when looking at the number of unique addresses that have ever been used on each respective networks.


Litecoin now has 123.877M unique addresses that have transacted on the Litecoin network. Bitcoin has 942.742M unique addresses.


We can plot the ratio of Litecoin unique addresses over the Bitcoin unique addresses to understand how the two compare.


Litecoin has 13% of the amount of unique Bitcoin addresses and has been steadily climbing since 2017 when Litecoin network had about 3% of Bitcoin total addresses. Litecoin network addresses have increased 4x more than bitcoin network addresses over that period.
