Litecoin Shines on Hong Kong's Virtual Asset Market - Gate.io: With Highest Trading Volume

Gate.HK was the first exchange to open on May 23rd in Hong Kong, offering virtual asset deposits and withdrawals, as well as spot trading for just three virtual assets: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC). Since trading began, Litecoin has had the highest trading volume among the three assets, which is quite impressive considering that Bitcoin and Ethereum have much larger market caps.

This screenshot is taken from the Gate.HK site shows that Litecoin has the highest trading volume. Interestingly, there seems to be a glitch as it displays the trading volume for Matic but not for Ethereum.

This comes after the Securities and Future Commission in Hong Kong will allow digital asset exchanges to trade digital assets such as Litecoin to retail on June 1, 2023.
